Each week I will be adding to this with the chakra as we read them energetically.
The Root Chakra-Muladhara
As I began to read the energy of my first chakra, found at the base of the spine, I saw a deep red color. I saw an old oak tree with deep roots in the ground. I also saw balancing stones with the largest stone being the root chakra helping to support the others. The energy I felt was that of feeling safe and supported in the world; feeling supported and confident with your place in the world. This is related to how you feel as a human being here on earth in every level: as a friend, mother, sister, brother, wife, husband, in the work you do, in creative activities. I felt that the root chakra wants you to feel so secure and supported in how you fit into the world that it becomes something you do not have to focus on…much like a habit. When you have a healthy root chakra, your feeling of support is so great that you can focus on the joys of life like being creative and expressing yourself with freedom and confidence, build healthy relationships and learn new enjoyable skills.

The Sacral Chakra – Svadhisthana
Reading the second chakra, located in the pelvic area where the sex organs are: The word that came to me first was creation, then creativity to follow. Creation is creativity expressed in the physical form. I first saw an explosion of orange flowers blooming like a firework. I got that the second chakra holds the energy of how we connect with other souls and our relationship with them: if we choose to love, forgive, show compassion, cut someone off emotionally or hold hostility and resentment. Sexuality is present in this chakra. I also felt in this chakra, we have an inherent desire to express ourselves creatively. For some people this is through the arts, caring for a garden, a loved one, one’s children or any hobby one is passionate about. When we do this, physically, I heard the words serotonin, healthy hormones, endorphins and creating harmony in the body. Blockages in this chakra can come from instances where we felt we had to censor or feel ashamed about our sexuality or how we expressed ourselves creativity in order to “fit-in” to society.
Solar Plexus Chakra-Manipura
Located about 6 inches above the navel. To my surprise, this chakra holds a lot of intense emotions for me. I got the feeling that the issues I’ve dealt with in this chakra are from lifetimes ago and I will be healing from some of this karma in this life. I felt the energy of an internal compass in the Solar Plexus chakra. I felt a magnetic pull towards a life path and a direction that would bring the most happiness in life; a life path that required faith and trust and believing in yourself. I also felt self-esteem and self acceptance, along with believing in yourself, there is self doubt, confidence, pride, being shy, bravery, being bold as well as fear. In myself, I saw periods in my life where this chakra has been dominant, like in high school and early college when I suffered with an extremely low self-esteem, held a lot of resentment towards my mother and struggled with depression. Then, I saw a time after that when I had a very strong sense of self, loving myself, I had learned to have compassion towards my mother. I found hobbies that helped me to believe in myself and gain self-esteem. I was single and loving life. Shortly after that, I found out I would be having my first-born and life took a dramatic turn. I put my daughter’s needs first, grew a family and slowly lost sight of my Self. Stepping back into my personal power has been a steady and rewarding process. I felt my current Sacral Chakra energy as “quiet confidence.” The energy of a lion. I feel a large space in this chakra that is asking to grow and learn to live a completely authentic life with courage and grace.
Heart Chakra-Anahata
When reading the heart chakra, I saw a deep ocean blue/green color. It reminded me of the wisdom and love of Mother Earth and her oceans. I felt a deep love of humankind, compassion, oneness with the universe and all it’s beings. I felt a connection to the center of the universe. This week when reading my own hart chakra, I saw some blocks I worked with to heal. I saw a strong metal shield or door that was blocking my hear chakra. I saw images of me as a young teenager and I felt I had put up this shield to protect myself due to a very dysfunctional relationship with my mom. I had put the shield up to not let anyone in, so I wouldn’t be hurt like I had been, feeling like my mom did not love me. Energetically, I used a power tool to unscrew the shield and remove it. I filled my heart chakra with loving kindness, light pink energy and acknowledged it is safe to let people in. I felt the impression that I have realized before, that when people treat you badly, it has nothing to do with you; it is actually their own struggle. I felt the energy turn into a deep emerald green.
Throat Chakra-Vishuddha
Reading the throat chakra, I saw a cobalt blue color. I saw energetic panes of glass layered one after another. They seemed to hold universes in them with behavior or soul patterns and archetypes that are played out and passed down from ancestors and generations to generations like the giver, the warrior, the lover, the prostitute, the ruler. Also, residing in the throat chakra is how you express yourself on every level. This includes, but is not limited to what you say, your body language, how you dress, drive, every form of self expression, even the people you associate with and the activities you do. In myself I saw fear of not being heard, accepted or appreciated. Speaking your truth is hugely in this chakra as well as processing grief and joy. Being persecuted for being authentic and bravery for being who you are are in the throat chakra. As a class, we also read the throat chakra for being a place where illness is created or decided as it is where issues are filtered. It can be seen as the control panel for health in the rest of the body. As I have meditated on this chakra this week, I’ve realized I have parts of me that are suppressed. When I expressed myself energetically and released the part of me that was trapped, I saw myself become free and felt my own throat chakra open. I felt that this is how this chakra wants to feel: free.
Third Eye Chakra-Anja
Reading my third eye chakra, I saw it located just between and slightly above my two physical eyes. I saw it as a lavender, organic, horizontal oval shaped opening. It has the feeling of an antenna that picks of waves of energy and information. I could see holographic images of beings or spirits communicating to us through the third eye through space and time to which we receive information telepathically. I also saw that the third eye as a place where synchronicities are orchestrated such as symbols and meaningful guideposts as well as a place where we read information intuitively such as feelings, emotions, colors and energy. When this chakra is in tune, you feel a clear sense of direction with focus and empowerment. Have you even been inspired to start a new career or project or had clarity on a major decision in your life? This is part of the focus of the Anja chakra. The third eye wants to feel free and open so it can receive, give and connect. It is lead by the stars and has a direct connection with the moon. My third eye asked me to eat better, more greens and higher vibrational foods, have more quiet time, to exercise more and laugh. Throughout the week as I meditated with my own third eye, I felt the magical energy of the unicorn. The unicorn came to us in our class meditation on the third eye as a protective animal that uses it’s horn like an antenna or beacon. I hopped on the beautiful white horse and it took my to another lifetime. It was so vivid. I was in Avalon during King Arthur’s time, a lifetime that comes up for me occasionally. There were rolling green hills, a castle, waterfalls and misty swamps. I practiced medicine and knew the land and flowers and herbs and different tools for healing. I used the power of the universe with other women to communicate with other realms and bring special things to pass during this time. The lifetime ended in violence because of the things I practiced and the powers I had. I vowed not to use my third eye again like this because of the sadness it caused. When I asked my Master Guide Yen why I was being showed this, he told me it was what my third eye needed to heal from. He showed me I needed to forgive those that hurt me and the others I cared about and that we all live on. This life is a short flash in eternity. We all live on.
Crown Chakra-Sahasrana
Reading the crown chakra, I felt our source of connection to white light. White light is the most protective, powerful energy which is our connection to God or Source or what I like to call Universal Love and Light. It is in us; it is a part of us. We are one. The crown chakra has the energy of harmony, love and abundance, gratitude and forgiveness. I saw it as the temple and holy place in the body. I also saw it as a place of healing with the colors of a white opal. It is our connection to all beings here in this realm and in others. When I got a reading from my partner in my Medical Intuitive class this week, as she helped me with a healing in the crown chakra, she saw a sacred geometric grid connecting me to the cosmos from my crown chakra and the same below me connecting me to the earth. I could see and feel the connection as well in my mind’s eye. It is a place where we communicate with angels; a place where communication is translated. It is the place to connect with our highest Self. As I meditated this week with my crown chakra, discovering what it holds and healing old wounds, I received an overwhelming sense of unconditional love. One experience in particular was on the first day of meditation, Archangel Michael came to me with all of the archangels behind him and ministries of angels behind them. He knelt down in front of me and told me he and all the angels are there for me at all times and they want me (us) to call on them at all times and to never feel like we are calling on them too much. He wanted me to know, that is what they are there for. It is their sole purpose. He told me I would know their presence with the synchronicities in my life and signs like a rainbow, a white feather and number sequences such as 11:11. Of course I was presented with so many this week in gratitude and appreciation.
